CONFIRMED: Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas to release on January 12 | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

The uncertainty over the release of Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi has finally come to an end. The film was last slated for release in December this year, but it will now hit the screens on January 12, 2024. This will be the film’s third date change.
It was first scheduled to hit the screens on December 15, which irked Karan Johar a lot since his film Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Rashii Khanna was due to release on that date.

So Yodha moved to December 7 and soon after Merry Christmas also shifted its release to December 7, thus leading to clashes again. But finally, KJo announced that Yodha has been moved to March 15 2024, a date that was blocked by Karan Johar for his Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer film Mr and Mrs Mahi. And now news is coming in that Merry Christmas has also moved, all set to arrive in theatres on January 12.
The team announced the same in a joint statement which read, “We have made this film with a lot of love & passion like every filmmaker does however with the back to back movie releases and packed last two months of 2023, we have taken the decision to extend the season of joy and bring our film to the theatres on 12th January 2024.”
Merry Christmas is a thriller starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles, with Sanjay Kapoor and Vinay Patak essaying pivotal parts. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Tamil.
