Govinda reveals he has left projects worth Rs 100 crore last year: I was slapping myself in front of the mirror | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Govinda is an iconic Bollywood actor who achieved immense stardom during the 1990s and early 2000s. However, he has been away from the showbiz for quite a while now. While several actors from the 90s have been making their comeback in movies, Govinda recently revealed that he has left projects worth Rs 100 crore because he does not want to do any random roles.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Govinda interacted with the media after the celebrations. When he was asked about his films, the actor said that it wasn’t that he was out of work. He then mentioned that he declined several big projects last year and added, “I was slapping myself in front of the mirror because I was not signing any projects.”
He further said that people were offering him a lot of money but he chose not to take up any kind of random character roles. He stated that he wants to do something that he has done in the past and wants to do something of that level.Govinda then had a message to those people who thought that he was not getting work. “I would like to tell them, ‘Mujhpe kripa hai Bappa ki’,” he expressed.
In recent years, Govinda has attempted a comeback in the film industry, appearing in a few films and reality shows. He was last seen in his 2019 film Rangeela Raja, produced by former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani. While he may not have regained the same level of stardom from his heyday, he still has a dedicated fan base who appreciates his contributions to Indian cinema.
