Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal adds about $5000 overnight through advance bookings in USA | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film Animal is all set to release on December 1, but in the US markets, the film will be releasing on November 30, with shows starting from 6: 30 pm. As the release date comes closer more and more cinema halls have begun opening their advance booking for the film. Animal is reportedly going to be the widest release for an Indian film in the USA with 888 screens, a number much higher than films like Tiger 3, Pathaan, Jawan, Jailer and even Ranbir’s Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, which was distributed by Disney.

With just two weeks to go for the film, the advance booking has begun to catch pace. Till Thursday the film had opened in 172 locations and had sold 1092 tickets and had collected $19217, but in a span of just one night, the film has added 6 locations, 14 more shows and is touching nearly 1500 tickets, taking it premiere day sale to $26,433 (Rs 22 lakhs). The advance booking for the film should be starting in India very soon.
The synopsis of the film reads as ‘This is the story of a son whose love for his father knows no bounds. As their bond begins to fracture, a chain of extraordinary events unfold causing the son to undergo a remarkable transformation consumed by a thirst for vengeance.”
Besides Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Animal’ stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The film was earlier slated for release on August 11, but due to post production issues, it was moved to December 1. It will clash with Vicky Kaushal starrer, Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. This movie tells the story of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and his role in carving out Bangladesh.
