Actor Sunil Shroff breathed his last on September 14 in Mumbai. The actor was 62 and the reason for his death is still unknown.
He had very recently appeared in the popular film, ‘Oh My God 2’ featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar. The film was released on August 11 and turned out to be a major critical and commercial success.
Weeks before his demise, Sunil Shroff had shared a picture with his ‘OMG 2’ co-star Pankanj Tripathi on 16 August.He had captioned it, “Omg 2 party (sic).”

Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the sad news of Sunil Shroff’s death. Sharing the poster, the association wrote, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Sunil Shroff” (Non-Member) #condolence #condolencias #restinpeace #rip #sunilshroff #condolencemessage #heartfelt #cintaa (sic).”
Before ‘OMG 2’, the actor was also seen in ‘Shiddat’. The film starred Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal alongside Diana Penty and Arjun Singh, among others. In the Kunal Khemu-starrer action web series ‘Abhay’, he played the role of a senior doctor. Sunil also appeared in Arjun Rampal’s 2019 series ‘The Final Call’ where he portrayed the character of Mr Jindal.
