When asked about his outlook on the changes, Sunny laughingly told Aaj Tak, “Mujhe toh badi sharam aati hai jab shave karlete hai apne baal, ladki ban gaya (I feel very embarrassed when we shave our hair, feels like a girl).” He went on to state that he doesn’t understand the need for six-pack abs and said that they are actors, not bodybuilders. Sunny Deol said that talents these days have a mindset that if they have a body, they can become an actor, if they know dancing, they can become an actor. Makers are also producing things like that and the audience is also lapping it up like fast food, commented the actor. Sunny Deol also opined that Hindi cinema has gone towards ‘Bollywood’ and the makers have started picking up films from everywhere else rather than creating own projects.
‘Gadar 2’ is a sequel to Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. Speaking about the second part, Sunny had previously shared, “When Gadar was released, we didn’t know how it would do (at the box office). We made it with all heart and honesty. The people made it big. We hope the same happens with Gadar 2. I was afraid to touch a complete film like Gadar again, but when Sharma ji narrated the script, so then (changed my mind).” ‘Gadar 2’ is scheduled to hit the screens on August 11.
